Local PPSOSIG Groups

Newly launched Local PPSOSIG Group -
Midlands & Southern Programme Office Forum (M&SPOF)

We have recently formed the M&SPOF out of the national PPSO (Project and Programme Support Office group) .

As a regional branch of the PPSO, M&SPOF is a voluntary, non profit forum for those involved in or running Programme Offices in the region. The purpose is to network with others who work in similar roles, from different industries and to network, share issues and share ideas/ best practices.

We would like to meet every few months but that is up to you! We will have different topics for each event and keep the events short (3 hours), with stimulating topics and plenty of opportunity to interact with attendees.

We will not be charging for the events unless we have to hire a room in which case we will charge a nominal amount.

The first event was hosted by Clare Barnett who has co-founded the M&SPOF with Rupert Taylor. Clare is the Group Programme Office Manager for NFU Mutual. The event was held on 28th November 2006 at NFU Mutual Head Office, Tiddington, Stratford upon Avon

The agenda for the afternoon:

3.30pm – 4.00pm Coffee and Registration

4.00pm – 4.20pm Presentation – (example – Do you market your Programme Office well enough?)

4.20pm – 5.15pm Speed dating (get to know some of the attendees - this is not a dating agency!)

5.15pm – 5.30pm Tea/ Coffee

5.30pm – 6.00pm Group exercise (PO marketing plan)

6.00pm – 6.45pm Question Time (question our expert panel)

6.45pm – 7.00pm Feedback (feedback, location [your office?], date, volunteers to help and topics for next event)

7.00pm – Close and to the bar
